Allergy / Immunology
Allergists/Immunologists are specially trained to manage and treat immune system problems such as allergies, asthma, autoimmune, and inherited immunodeficiency diseases. Our allergist is a board-certified internist who has completed 2 years of a fellowship in an allergy/immunology program and has passed a certifying examination administered by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. In addition he is experienced as a staff member of a major university medical school where he taught the new generation of physicians in the treatment of allergic disorders and immunology. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology states that studies show those under the care of a trained allergist/immunologist can reduce the number of lost work and school days and make fewer emergency room visits. Allergists/Immunologists are trained to provide care to children and adults.
